The Lost Boys are Hero Artists who deserve your support

Our friends Jeff Jacob and Sandy Rochelle introduced us to some pretty incredible artists this Thanksgiving.

They invited us to an art exhibit downtown . . .on Thanksgiving day

Said there would be food . . . . and “bring the kids”

There WAS food – and some pretty incredible art and photography . . .

and a POWERFUL story to go along with it all.

The Lost Boys were literally ejected from their homes and towns at a very young age and forced to walk hundreds and hundreds of miles to save their own lives – Fleeing from a level of genocide that we cannot even imagine in our own soft and comfortable existences.

More than 1/2 of them died on their journey . . . The survivors were witnesses of human misery that is unfathomable to the rest of us.

Somehow, a boat-load of them ended up in Nashville with not much more support than a couple of months rent . . . Never having even been aware of the existence of ELECTRICITY.

Here, they are learning how to integrate themselves into our society – To learn our language and customs.

They don’t want hand-outs . . .

These heros want EDUCATION . . . To learn how they can succeed in this new world.

YOU can help . . . The Lost Boys Foundation is alive but not so well . . . in dire need of funding (in danger of losing their lease on the building that is their home base . . . where they make their art sculptures . . . and learn English and writing and computer skills and job skills.

What would YOU be willing to do to help these guys?

I think they have more than paid their dues . . . We don’t OWE them, but if we have the means who are we if we don’t help them?
